How do I use essential oils?

+ What are essential oils?

Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that protect the plant in nature – I consider them the immune system of the plant! They are aromatic compounds naturally occurring in the plant that serve to keep the plant healthy and protect it from environmental threats such as viruses, bacteria, pests, weather and so on.

When extracted, the compounds produced are highly potent and contain their own protective and rejuvenating properties which we can benefit from.

We often underestimate nature – after all, modern medicine was derived from nature! Did you know that aspirin was derived from the bark of a willow tree and antibiotics from a fungus or soil bacteria?

Essential oils work at a cellular and psychological level, helping to bring the mind and body back into balance. Once they enter our bloodstream, they can target specific areas of the body with their healing benefits.

Pretty much everything! For the mind, body, spirit and home! In my home, we use them for:

Digestion, immune health, sleep, stress and mood, natural cleaning, kids health, Skincare, meditation, energising, natural first aid, sugar cravings and weight.
